With Christmas coming, I have been trying to teach Lily and Wyatt what the true meaning of Christmas is. We have been reading the Christmas story in their bible almost every day for the last few weeks. They often "read" along with me, so I thought I would share with you their version of what the angels told the shepherds out in the fields of Bethlehem. It truly makes my heart smile to hear my children hiding God's word in their hearts!
Translation of Lily and Wyatt (from The BIG Picture Story Bible):
"I bring you good news...for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord...You will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger."
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!"

From the mouth of Babes. Awesome!
ditto... out of the mouth of Babes! Very SWEET - thanks for sharing!!
Love this post, Kristin! It is so good to capture these moments, not only for today but for their tomorrows! Betsy learned all of the verses to "Away in a Manger" when she was small and I never put that on video. I regret that today... :-(
