Day 18

I was sitting in GriefShare tonight and a person in the video said something that really struck me. Christmas is about suffering. Yes, Christmas is the celebration of Christ, the Messiah's birth, but what did he come for? He came to suffer and die on the cross for the sins of this world, my sins. He came to defeat death and Satan. That statement, Christmas is about suffering, reminded me of the hope that I have because of my relationship with Jesus. Death does not have the final say. Satan will be defeated. So though life is difficult tonight, I am thankful for that hope and that assurance.
