Good Morning!
We all got here safely last night. Ryan's ambulance ride went great and he was resting comfortably last night. The hospital staff was very helpful and compassionate. They were planning on doing a CT scan last night some time to see if they could determine what is going on in Ryan's lungs. We are hoping to see Dr. Ojo or a member of her team this morning.
Specific Prayer Requests:
- Ryan's blood count has been going down. They think he may be bleeding somewhere and that needs to be found.
- Get Ryan weaned from the ventilator so that he is breathing on his own at least part of the day. Ryan NEEDS to be able to get up an moving for best transplant results!
- NEW LUNGS!!!!!
- Needed rest for all
- Safe travel back to Illinois for Ryan's dad
VISITING:
The first few days are expected to be busy and chaotic. We would love to see friends and family, but please allow a few days for things to settle down.
Visiting hours are from 10 am - 10 pm and only 2 people are allowed to be in with Ryan at a time (although they did let us have 3 in last night).
I will try and update later, but it may not be until we get back to the hospital.
